peanut butter. {the olympics.}

today is national peanut butter day.
if any of you know me you know i am OBSESSED with pb.
it literally is the greatest food in the whole entire world.
the rich creamy texture.
mixed with the rich creamy taste.
oh man what could be better??

in honor of today i splurged.
i bought my most favoritest ice cream in the whole entire world.
once known as clusterfluff is now known as what a cluster.
ingredients: PEANUT BUTTER ice cream. caramel clusters. marshmallow swirl. PEANUT BUTTER swirl.
oh man it is to die for.
if you haven't tried it you have not lived.

so here is the 411 of my healthy challenges.
i took 3 different challenges and combined them into one.

challenge #1 
Taralynn changed her lifestyle and went from being overweight to being fit.
she is issuing a "i will make a change with taralynn" challenge.
today is the last day to enter the contest for a $100 visa.
but it is definitely not the last day to join in her healthy movement/challenge.
all you have to do is decide to change one thing in your life to make you healthier.
so either start working out. {even going on a 20 min walk.}
or decide to eat just 1 cookie instead of 4.
join the healthy movement.
how have i joined??
well i did not submit for the $100 visa.
but i have decided to change.
**i will make a change with taralynn by eating healthier and choosing smaller portions**
what will you change??

challenge #2
their challenge is a 8 week weight loss challenge.
this weight loss challenge is different from others i have tried.
it is strictly based on a point scale.
there are 8 separate things that you can get points from.
so get a "team" of people who want to be healthier and lose weight.
each person print off their own worksheet to keep track found here.
then starting any monday start living healthier and counting your points.
so how am i incorporating this into my life??
my team = mom. dad. ash. chad. me.
reward = i'm not completely sure. ha.
we are on our week 2.
i have done pretty well so far. 
yes i did have a couple "bad" days but the most important thing to do after a bad day.
wake up and start again.

i am issuing this challenge to you.
i challenge you to run.
if you are in the couch potato area then your challenge is to run a 5k in 2012
if you have run a 5k well then start training for a 10k.
if you have run a 10k then start the half-marathon training. to run a half-marathon.
and if you have run a half-marathon yep you guessed it run a marathon.
you hate to run? 
i did too 2 years ago.
start by walking. and add on slowly.
your knees hurt to run? 
maybe try biking or swimming.

another part of my challenge?
this month find the race you are going to work for.
SIGN UP!!! then you can't back out.
put it on your calender and tell people about it to keep you accountable.

i personally am starting training for a half-marathon hopefully this coming monday.

but its ok because she was a swim preliminary winner.

my favorite the entire time was miss oklahoma.

4th runner up: Miss California
3rd runner up: Miss Arizona
2nd runner up: Miss New York

she was smart. talented. and had the poise of a miss america.

you know those days when your patience level is a -7?
welcome to my week.

things people say about me {to my face.} that usually don't bother me. 
drive me nuts. or cut deep.

things people do that i would usually laugh off. 
drive me up the wall.

things that people say and do that i usually just agree with to not cause contention.
i have been biting my tongue harder then ever.
then i think of every rude thing i could have thrown in their face.

hopefully this passes.
or biting my tongue will not come as easy.
tears will flow easier.
and i might burst with annoyance.

on a brighter note miss america is TOMORROW!!!!
if you know me at all you know this is a national holiday in my family.
parties are thrown while the results are anticipated.

i can't wait to watch tomorrow. 
miss utah has a good chance to make top 15.

empire state of mind. {jay-z.}

so obviously i have already failed at one new year resolution.
the one where blogging multiple times a week is necessary.
well don't worry i am still going to work on it and hopefully i can redeem myself.

a lot has happened since i last blogged so we are going to play catch up.
by the sunday after i was sick all 6 pounds had come back. dang.
but don't worry a post will be coming soon on how i plan to lose and maintain.
it contains three separate challenges all combined into one. 
yes you should be excited. because i haven't been this motivated for a while.

i had a sleep over with my two best friends.
it seriously was one of the best nights ever.
i loved being able to talk and be with them just like old times.
and i wish more of those could happen.
but alas we are all growing up and changing our lives.
so every now and  then texts will just have to do.

i moved back to cedar city to start my spring semester.
this year i am taking:
PE 3070: exercise physiology.
 {love this class. and the professor. i think it is going to be awesome.}
PE 4040: exercise testing and prescription.
 {this class seems awesome. it is a lot of what i think i want to do after graduation.}
NUTRITION 4020: advanced human nutrition.
 {probably going to be my ultimate hardest class. i am a little worried. but nothing library visits can't fix.}
NUTRITION 1240/1241: culinary arts/culinary arts lab.
{can you believe this is required for my major?? i am BEYOND STOKED! i can't wait to cook. and to learn all the tips and tricks. you will definitely hear more about this class.}

another part of moving back means roommates.
oh i love them.
and well i have a new roommate.
her name is amber.
she is super cute and super nice.
i think we will get along just great.

school will be great.
all upper division classes might kick my butt.
but they are all for my major/minor.
so at least they are what i enjoy.
i am straight up stoked.

new years resolutions. {graham colton.}

new year resolutions:
{not a complete list.}
  • run a half marathon
  • finish the Book of Mormon
  • get 3.7 or higher gpa.
  • blog 4-5x a week {sister or this blog.}
  • work out 5-6x a week.
  • lose and then maintain "goal" weight.
yesterday was an adventure.
i woke up at 9 and was sick.
not the kind of sick where you just lie on the couch.
the kind of sick where a bathroom is needed.
at ALLLLL times.

lets just say my losing weight goal is on a roll. 
losing 6lbs in one day??
don't mind if i do.
{granted once i eat and drink water most will come back.}
but hey being sick = greatest weight loss solution ever.
{for 1 maybe 2 days.}
maybe i will write a book.
but probably not.

the new year. {death cab for cutie.}

funny to think that i could blog for 25 days straight.
and then i went a whole week without even looking at my blog.
i might have been busy.
but no busier then finals week so that is no excuse.

lets play catch up.
christmas was great.
i got everything i wanted.
granted i mainly wanted clothes.
but still.
props to santa. mom. and dad.
i spent 2 days in the same clothes.
i was too lazy to get out of my christmas pajamas.

i visited my bestie meg.
which was much needed.
and i am stoked because this week will bring more of those visits.
and it will also include kristin!

i threw two parties.
not hour long parties.
day long parties.
it started friday and ended sunday.
it was seriously the most fun thing ever.
lots of planning and preparing went into them.
full of food. fun. and family.
seriously what else do you need??

i am so happy for the new year.
i am happy to put things of 2011 behind me.
and i can't wait to look ahead at what 2012 will bring.

i am stoked to set and complete my goals for 2012
seriously i have been planning them for weeks.
{list will be coming soon.}

i love a new year.
